Listen to Time
Only time will tell,
But will man listen?
The letters on the wall.
Names added through ages,
Words for remembrance
Of man’s evil capacity.
China
Egypt
Russia
The letters are shiny red.
Written with spilled blood,
Of millions whom had died
As sacrifice to another.
Auschwitz
Congo
Tasmania
The letters will not fade.
Still serving as council,
Refusing through history
To wash away in tears.
Bosnia
Rwanda
Croatia
The letters on the wall.
For if man won’t listen,
Maybe he stops to read
And ponder on tragedy
America
Philippines
South West Africa
And now also Georgia.
Time is hollering.
Man refuses to listen.

Will we ever listen? Will we ever learn?
We will never listen, but we do erect memorials to remind us of our mistakes so that we do not repeat them. Ironic?
freaky …
Nice writing. Are you up for more?

A sergeant in the U.S. army was asked by a TV crew what in his opinion the USA achieved during their tenure in Beirut. His answer, “not a motherf***ing thing” In war their are no winners, only victims and survivors.
So true guys, the huge loss of life over thousands of years does not seem to act as reminder of the terrible ramifications of war! Power, and the search thereoff seem to corrupt clear thinking, man makes evil decisions.
